“National Commission for Women”

Objective of the Visit: The objective of the visit to the National Commission for Women was to provide a platform for students, faculty, to engage in meaningful dialogue with representatives from the National Commission for Women, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in promoting gender equality.
Maharishi Law School in coordination with IQAC on 31st January 2024, Noida Campus attended the Foundation Day of National Commission for Women at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The visit was under the supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) K.B Asthana, Dean, Maharishi Law School, Dr. Ritu Meena (Assistant Professor), Dr. D.N Pathak (Assistant Professor) and Mr. Arun Kumar (Assistant Professor). Around 60 students from law department were given this opportunity to attend the function organised by NCW.
The Programe was chaired by Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Smt. Smriti Irani, Minister of Women and Child Development of India. The theme of the function was "Sankalp Se Sidhi." The event was about Acknowledging and celebrating the stories of women who have excelled and paved their journey to leave a mark. The Function was regarding the empowerment of women. Hon’ble minister of Women & child development and minority affairs said that it is not possible to imagine a strong and healthy society without women empowerment. The NCW focused their work on the upliftment of the life of women by stating the various data. The Various Cultural Programe enhanced the glory of the program.
Feedback from students regarding the visit by the National Commission for Women was overwhelmingly positive. Students appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from the National Commission for Women, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of women's rights issues.
