“7th India Water Week, India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.”

Objective of the Visit: The event was organized in order to emphasize the need of water security for sustainable development with equity. Law school attended the event with the great enthusiasm. The student got to see a lot of water projects, Models of water harvesting by different states. Various irrigation projects were also there.
The India Water Week programme is designed as a "knowledge centre" for innovative ideas and solutions. It aims to strengthen discussions and exchange of ideas among participants for optimal management of water resources.
It was the matter of privilege that Maharishi University of Information Technology was invited to 7th India Water Week by Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India which was hosted at the India Expo Centre. Maharishi Law School planed the visit on 3rd November 2022. The visit begun at around 12:00 PM to India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. In total 45 students of Law School visited the India Expo centre, Greater Noida with Dr. Annu bahl Mehra (Dy. Dean, MLS) & Dr. Ritu Meena (Assistant Professor, MLS) on behalf of Maharishi Law School.
Student of MLS get exposer to know the Emerging technological solutions for efficient water management, Water education, Public awareness - role of Media, Decentralized solutions for water management and Role of Civil society in efficient water management. Students got the opportunity to know various project on Ground Water modelling, water use efficiency, pumping efficiency, project of SCADA leakage detection were also discussed. The students were briefed well about each and every project and model by the various experts at specific stalls.
