The School of Science of Consciousness recently celebrated National Ayurveda Day on November 10, 2023. The theme of the event was 'Ayurveda for everyone, every day', highlighting the importance of Ayurveda in promoting holistic wellness and natural remedies.
The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Ms. Amrita Shrivastava, TM Sidhi Administrator and Ayurveda Health Consultant, Ms. Ajaya Shrivastava, TM Sidhi Administrator, and Ms. Aditi Shrivastava, Advisor, SoC. The dignitaries who attended the event were the Vice-Chancellor, Dean Academics, Dy. Dean Academics, Deans, Dy. Deans, faculty, staff, and students of MUIT.
The event began with a welcome note from Mr. Gaurav Thakur, the Deputy Dean of SOC, followed by a Guru Puja to seek the blessings of Guru Dev. After the Puja, a group of students presented the Dhanvantri Vandana, which aims to alleviate human suffering and promote happiness and prosperity.
The students of the School of Science of Consciousness organized various cultural activities to uphold the principles of Ayurveda. These activities included speeches, a skit, and a play, all focused on the importance of diet and maintaining a disease-free, healthy lifestyle.
During the event, a video tape of Maharishiji was played, where he emphasized Ayurveda as the most profound approach to perfect health. The tape highlighted how Ayurveda considers consciousness and the environment in its treatment, making it a holistic approach. The guest for the day, Ms. Amrita Shrivastava, TM Sidhi Administrator and an Ayurveda Health Consultant, summarized the tape, emphasizing Ayurveda's relevance in modern times and its healing powers for preventive healthcare. Ms. Aditi Shrivastava, Advisor, SoC delivered a keynote speech, emphasizing the need to integrate Ayurveda practices with modern medicine for more effective healthcare solutions
The video message of Director General, GP Capt. Prof. O.P. Sharma, briefed that Lord Dhanvantri is acknowledged as the God of protection and sustenance, the father of Ayurveda, and the one who showed the direction to nourish this world and possessed knowledge about various medicinal plants. The Director General's message is a reminder to us all of the importance of good health and the role that Lord Dhanvantri plays in protecting and sustaining us. He also reminds us of the wisdom and knowledge contained in the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda, which is the foundation of a happy and fulfilling life.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor also shared words of wisdom on the benefits of Ayurveda for maintaining health. The event was well moderated by Ms. Komal Shrivastava and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mudita Agarwal, Dean, School of Science of Consciousness. The event concluded with the inaugural ceremony of the Maharishi Herbal Garden by the dignitaries, guests, deans, faculty, and staff to promote knowledge about herbal plants for maintaining health.
Overall, the National Ayurveda Day celebration at the School of Science of Consciousness was a successful event that highlighted the importance of Ayurveda and its principles in promoting holistic wellness and natural remedies for a healthier and more fulfilling life.
