Objective of the Event: The purpose of the Black Coat Ceremony was to symbolize the transition of law students into the legal profession. It signifies the students' commitment to upholding the principles of justice, ethics, and integrity associated with the legal practice. The ceremony typically involves students donning black robes or other traditional legal attire as a symbol of their future roles as legal professionals.

The Black Coat Ceremony was organized by the Maharishi Students Bar Forum of Maharishi Law School in coordination with the Institution's Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event was addressed by (Group Captain) Professor Om Prakash Sharma, the Hon'ble Director General, Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) Trapty Agrawal, the Dean of Academics. They imparted wisdom and guidance to the incoming cohort of law students.

The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of books in the legal profession. He also expressed his best wishes for the growth and development of the Maharishi Students Bar Forum.

During the ceremony, the convener, co-convener, secretary, and society members were presented with black coats and badges, symbolizing their commitment to upholding the principles of law and justice. The students solemnly took an oath of professionalism, pledging to maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct throughout their legal careers.

The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) K.B. Asthana, the Dean of Maharishi Law School, Dr. Amita Rathi, the Deputy Dean of Maharishi Law School, and faculty members Dr. Deependra Pathak (Assistant Professor), Mr. Kamshad Mohsin (Assistant Professor), Ms. Riya Koul (Assistant Professor), and Ms. Saumya Shukla (Assistant Professor).

The Black Coat Ceremony at the law school is more than just a ceremonial event; it is a symbolic initiation into the legal profession. It signifies the beginning of a journey marked by dedication, integrity, and service to society. As the newly inducted students embark on their legal careers, they carry with them the values instilled during this solemn occasion, poised to make meaningful contributions to the legal community and uphold the principles of justice and equity.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Amita Rathi, the Deputy Dean of Maharishi Law School, expressing gratitude for everyone's participation and contributions.
