Objective of Shodh Charcha Law Lecture Series-04: Objective of Shodh Charcha Law Lecture Series 04: The primary aim of the Shodh Charcha Law Lecture Series-04 was to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the significance of forensic evidence in legal proceedings and to explore the criteria for admitting such evidence in court. By examining challenges, controversies, and best practices surrounding the admissibility of forensic evidence, the event aimed to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively present scientific findings in court. Additionally, it sought to underscore the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and emerging technologies in enhancing the reliability and credibility of forensic evidence, thereby contributing to the pursuit of justice and the integrity of the legal system.

Shodh Charcha Law Lecture 04 on “Evidence and Its Admissibility in Court,"  organized by Maharishi Law School, provided insights into the process of presenting evidence in court and highlighted the importance of forensic science in the legal field. Shodh Charcha Law Lecture 04 featured esteemed guest speaker, Mrs. Priyanka Aggarwal, Director of the Forensic Division at Connected Security Systems, the first forensic scientific laboratory certified by the Government of India. The event was facilitated by Prof. (Dr.) K.B. Asthana, Dean of MLS, Ms. Saumya Shukla (Assistant Professor), Ms. Riya Koul (Assistant Professor), and moderated by LB Kiran, a student of LL.B. 1st year.

The event featured esteemed guest speaker Mrs. Priyanka Aggarwal, Director of the Forensic Division at Connected Security Systems, the first forensic scientific laboratory certified by the Government of India. Mrs. Aggarwal commenced the session with a warm welcome, sharing her experiences and journey in the forensic science industry and offering valuable insights into overcoming challenges and establishing her own firm. Her story served as both an inspiration and a practical guide for navigating the complexities of the field.

Throughout the session, participants engaged in discussions on various topics related to forensic science and its intersection with the legal system. Mrs. Aggarwal emphasized the significance of obtaining government approvals and certifications for forensic laboratories, highlighting the rigorous process involved. Key sections of the Evidence Act, such as Sections 45 and 46, were discussed in detail, underscoring their importance in court proceedings.

The discussion also delved into the transparency measures adopted by Mrs. Aggarwal's firm, emphasizing the importance of thorough scrutiny and verification of evidence. Participants actively raised queries, demonstrating their keen interest in the subject matter.

Shodh Charcha Law Lecture 04 concluded with an engaging quiz, allowing participants to demonstrate their understanding of the topics discussed. Three students who exhibited exceptional knowledge and participation received certificates of recognition, while all other participants were awarded certificates of participation.
