Maharishi University of Information Technology celebrated, Maharishi Jayanti, the 105th birth anniversary of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji with great enthusiasm on 12th January 2022.
On this occasion, the Dy. Dean of School of Science of Consciousness, Dr. Mudita Agarwal started the program with an introduction to the event and shared that “Maharishi ji was a scientist and a saint and he made the unbounded field of consciousness available to everyone. He provided us with a simple, natural and effortless technique of Transcendental Meditation, which helps a person get rid of stress, anxiety and health problems like - Insomnia, CVD, Chronic headaches and many others. It also helps develop mental potential, increases intelligence and creativity and even helps one grow in higher states of consciousness. Maharishi ji always said that life is bliss and not a struggle and with this message he filled the humanity with fragrance of hope, enthusiasm and positivity to celebrate the fullness of life within all of us.”
The program commenced with Guru Puja by teachers of Transcendental Meditation. This was done simultaneously at both the Lucknow and Noida Campuses, followed by a video lecture of Maharishi ji which gave the message that infinite possibilities, infinite dynamism and infinite silence can be attained by getting anchored within the Self. This was followed by summarizing the lecture and explaining the key points of the talk by Certified Teacher of Transcendental Meditation and Assistant Professor, School of Science of Consciousness, Mr. Gaurav Thakur. Thereafter, Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava ji, Hon'ble Chancellor, delivered his message on the teachings of Maharishi ji on this special occasion. In his address, Hon'ble Chancellor, emphasized that Transcendental Meditation is an effective technique to establish peace within every individual. It helps counteract the effects of stress and govern the evolution of life towards enlightenment.
The key speaker at Lucknow campus was Shri Anoop Srivastava, Sr. Manager, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, who expressed his gratitude to Maharishi ji and encouraged all to follow the teachings of Maharishi ji for the holistic development of life. The program at Lucknow was coordinated by Dean Academics, Dr. Sapan Asthana, and also graced by Hon'ble VC of MUIT, Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, amongst others.
The program was concluded with Vote of thanks by Dr. Mudita Agarwal and Group Meditation conducted by TM teachers, Mrs. Sandhya and Mr. Samir Tripathy at Lucknow Campus and Mr. Gaurav Thakur at Noida Campus.
The program was attended by over 400 people, including online and in-person participants, this included dignitaries, faculty, staff and students of MUIT, and meditators and TM teachers from all over India.
